چکیده

In this study, changes in malondialdehyde level (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) activity fish liver tissue were investigated by applying two doses of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) herbicide to Capoeta umbla for 72 hours. Changes MDA level, CAT SOD determined spectrophotometric methods. As a result the it was that there statistically significant increase C. exposed different (p < 0.05). It observed 2,4-D disrupted oxidant/antioxidant balance tissue. However, these antioxidant enzymes, which are primary defense mechanism, appear be resistant toxic effect 2,4-D.

ACTIVITY OF SUPEROXIDE DISMUTASE AND CATALASE IN ERYTHROCYTES AND MALONDIALDEHYDE CONCENTRATION IN THE LIVER OF RATS EXPOSED TO Bi 58 NOWY AND PYRANTEL

The effect of an administration of Bi 58 Nowy (38% dimethoate) and/or pyrantel embonate on the activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) in erythrocytes and on malondialdehyde (MDA) concentration in rat liver homogenates was investigated. Bi 58 Nowy was administered for 4 weeks with drinking water at a dose of 15.48 mg/kg b.w. (1/25 LD50). Pyrantel embonate was given with a stom...

Evaluation of Malondialdehyde, Superoxide Dismutase and Catalase Activity in Fetal Cord Blood of Depressed Mothers

Objective The umbilical cord consists of two arteries and one vein and it functions in the transport between the maternal and fetal circulation. Biochemical analysis of fetal cord blood (FCB) during delivery could be beneficial in terms of understanding the fetal environment. In this study, we aimed to investigate oxidative parameters like malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and ...

Antioxidant Effect of Lycopersicum esculentum on Plasma Superoxide Dismutase, Catalase and Malondialdehyde in Rat Espoused with Lead Acetate

Background: Lead, an example of heavy metals, has, for decades, being known for its adverse effects on various body organs and systems such that their functions are compromised. Objective: In the present study, the ability of Lycopersicum esculentum on decrease toxic effects of lead acetate on plasma superoxide dismutase, catalase and malondialdehyde in Rat. Lead to adversely affect the Liver ...

Organophosphate Insecticide Chlorfenvinphos Affects Superoxide Dismutase, Catalase and Malondialdehyde in Rat Liver

The aim of this paper was to study the activity of liver superoxide dismutase and catalase and the concentration of liver malondialdehyde in rats intoxicated with chlorfenvinphos, an organophosphate widely used as an insecticide. The study was carried out on male Wistar rats weighing 180-230 g. The rats were divided into two groups: examined receiving oil solution of chlorfenvinphos in doses of...

Response of superoxide dismutase, catalase, and ATPase activity in bacteria exposed to acetamiprid.

OBJECTIVE To investigate how acetamiprid, a new insecticide, affects the activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), and ATPase and the SOD isozyme patterns in two G bacteria, E. coli K12 and Pse.FH2, and one G+ bacterum, B. subtilis. METHODS The SOD, CAT, and ATPase specific activities of cell lysates were determined spectrophotometrically at 550 nm, 240 nm, and 660 nm, respectiv...
